Clarifires

CHEMFLOW manufactures complete range of water clarifiers, primarily intended for industrial and municipal use in the process of making ground water or surface water safe for drinking.

CHEMFLOW Clarifiers use widely accepted settling technology based on the density difference between water and suspended solids. The CHEMFLOW Clarifier is designed to give you the performance you require with long-term reliability. CHEMFLOW realizes that all water streams are not alike and in many cases standard designs must be modified. Tank sizing, influent and effluent arrangements, flocculation requirements, sludge removal and skimming methods and mechanisms are some of the considerations necessary for a successful installation.

The CHEMFLOW Clarifiers are available in self-supporting prefabricated steel units or they can be designed to drop into a concrete tank. Existing structures and systems can sometimes be utilized and upgraded for cost savings. Clarifiers normally use either a center feed inlet well or a peripheral inlet. The center feed well design can be equipped with a chemical addition system with mixing and flocculation. With the center feed well, the effluent is discharged along the outer wall of the clarifier tank. Clarifiers with peripheral inlets will be designed with a center bottom liquid outlet.

Solids-Contact Clarifier

Clarifier provides efficient mechanical flocculation, which will be combined with the addition of chemical flocculating agents. This clarifier combines the functions of chemical treatment, mixing, flocculation, and sedimentation. Clarifier may be used for softening, colorant removal, and removal of magnesium and iron. A mechanical flocculating well provides sludge recycling, combining previously settled precipitates from the tank bottom with the treated influent. Flow then proceeds downward out of the central well and outward to the clarification zone where flocculated particles settle. The settled particulate is then raked inward to be re-circulated, but some is discarded by the sludge pump to maintain steady conditions. The clean water effluent flows out through the radial outlet launders.
