Filters

Filtration is a separation process that consists in passing a solid liquid mixture through a porous material (Filter) which retains the solid and allows the liquid (Filtrate) to pass through . Filtration system are installed where turbidity of water is not suitable for process application. We manufacture a complete range of filtration system.

Pressure Sand Filter

A pressure Filter is a closed cylindrical vessel containing a bed of granular media over a collector system. Raw water to be filtered enters at the top of shell, percolates downwardly through the filter bed and is drawn off through the collector system at the bottom. Periodically this flow is reversed and the filter is backwashed to carry away the dirt which accumulates on the filter bed.

If two media like sand and anthracite it is known as dual media and if more media is used it is normally termed as multi media.

Active Carbon Filter

Activated carbon filter are same in construction as of sand filter except carbon is being used in place of media. Activated carbon filter are used in drinking application to remove organics and to recycle waste water.

Iron Removal Filter

A bed of manganese zeolite is used potassium permanganate is continuously fed in line upstream of the mangnese zeolite unit. This way any iron, mangnese or H2S in the water is oxidised to an insoluble state before it reaches the mangnese zeolite bed.

Self Cleaning Filter Self-cleaning filter is used for preliminary filtration of demanding applications of various industries. They are very useful for applications where suspended solid load is comparatively high. They are also useful for filtration of highly viscous material and slurry-based filtration applications. Their working principle is based on the differential pressure parameters across the filter. One can set a clean pressure drop and a change-out pressure drop for uninterrupted filtration.

Quality Tank Construction

All standard CHEMFLOW industrial water filters include pressure tanks constructed of high quality welded steel designed for 2.5-5.0 Kg/Cm2 working pressure and tested for 10 Kg/Cm2. Standard pressure tanks are equipped with inlet and outlet connections, top mounted loading port (either handhole or manhole), and a side filter media removal fitting. Due to the corrosive nature of certain filter media types, all tanks are epoxy lined. Stainless steel or Fiberglass pressure tanks are available for custom industrial water filters.

Underdrains

The CHEMFLOW hub and lateral distribution system is designed to utilize the entire bed area during all flow rates. This minimizes channeling during periods of low flow. The standard underdrains (internals) are constructed of PVC with schedule 80 laterals ensuring maximum corrosion protection and strength. Optional materials are available to meet most requirements; i.e. CPVC, Polypropylene or Stainless Steel.

Diaphragm Valves

To answer a need for truly trouble-free, labor saving, automated equipment; CHEMFLOW engineers designed the ultimate industrial water filter using automatic Valves. The angular design, high lift, and large seat opening of these hydraulically operated valves provide a minimum restriction to flow and reduction of turbulence. They are controlled by a artificial intelligence to backwash the filter and return it to service without any manual attention.

Timer/Controller The standard method of control for automatic industrial water filters is accomplished through the use of a heavy-duty stager with an integral clock timer. This control has a built in manual override feature should backwashing be required at times other than at its pre-determined time.
